Phascolarctos Cinereus

What is a Koala?

Koalas are a small bear-like, tree-dwelling, marsupial. They have ash grey wit hsome brown fur.

The Koala gets its name form an aboriginal word meaning "no drink" because Koalas get most of their water from the Eucalyptus leaves they eat.

The Koala is one of the few animlals that can survive off a diet of eucalyptus leaves. The other 2 mammals that are able to do this are the Greater Glider and the Ringtail Possum.
